Situated below the police bank in Surry Hills, where the name 'Sticky Fingers' was aptly inspired.

Owners Naveen and Tristan opened the café in April 2016 serving breakfast and lunch, and since September 2016 is now available for dinner. In its few months of being open, the restaurant has attracted a loyal customer base, and even inspired some of the food items on the menu!

Our beautiful waitress, Chelsea, was well versed on the menu and all things Sticky Fingers. We were handed a drinks menu which consisted of many local beers and wines imported from France and Italy. We opted for a Prosecco and 4 Pines beer.

After looking through the extensive dinner menu, largely Asian-inspired with an Australian twist – we found it hard to choose!
Chefs of Sticky Fingers are of Indonesian and Thai descent and tastefully infuse flavours of their cultures into the dishes.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting and tucked away just perfectly out of sight of the main strip to avoid noisy crowds.

Mac & Cheese ($14)
Mac & cheese with macadamia and coconut crust, green peas and sriracha mayo

Eggplant Roll ($14)
Chargrilled eggplant, enoki mushrooms, crispy shallots, spiced coconut and seaweed powder

Kingfish ($16)
Red cabbage cured kingfish with yuzu, grapefruit and herb oil

Lap Duck Terrine ($16)
Duck, pork, lap xuong, roasted cauliflower puree and pickled veg.

Crispy Pork Belly ($18)
Crispy pork belly with snow peas, chilli, lime leaves and phrik khing sauce

Slow Cooked Beef ($24)
Beef brisket with mushrooms, red wine, spring onion sweet potato and polenta mash

And finally, saving my absolute favourite to last, a selection of ice cream sandwiches - black sesame or miso / salted caramel - I can't get the taste out of my head, I am hooked!

The restaurant is also open for breakfast and lunch, as well as group functions and events. If you're looking for a restaurant with great atmosphere in the Surry Hills area, check it out, you won't be disappointed.
