We all enjoy a cocktail or two at the end of the busy week while relaxing at a nice bar in a company of friends, wondering: " Ah, how good this Frozen Margarita is."

But have you ever wondered about the work behind the scenes, the art of mixology that brings a joy to your taste buds and a dedicated work of a barman that creates your favourite drink?

The classes take place on specific dates and minimum amount of people rule applies. We had our experience on Saturday when we joined some other groups of people who booked in for the same date. The place is somewhat difficult to find if you are not familiar with the area but it makes this experience even more unique, as once we found an entry, hidden in the back streets away from the main road, we had to sms a specific code to a mobile phone number so that we could be admitted to the night of cocktail magic.

On the night people were separated into three groups, and each group had a dedicated bartender presenting the tricks of the trade. It starts with the explanation of the tools used, ingredients needed to create that much loved savoury flavour of yours, and, believe it or not, even the rules of cocktail shaking.

A few classic cocktails were presented during the evening, and everyone in a group could have a go at mixing, shaking and tasting. The bar is nicely decorated with hightlights being chandelier and piano.



The bar staff definitely know and love their business, and they were all friendly and knowledgeable about the cocktail topic. The night ends with a competition between the groups to create a new cocktail, and each group's drink is then assessed on taste, presentation and the name chosen by the group.



This experience takes place just before the bar opens for general public therefore by the time people start coming in you'll find yourself already sitting in most comfortable chairs sipping another - complimentary - cocktail of your choice and tasting some interesting appetizers.



This experience will definitely give you a chance to feel yourself a captain of the cocktail ship, and could be an unusual idea for that first date where you can prepare a drink or two by yourself under friendly guidance of experienced barman.
