Last night I was sitting on Facebook trying to ignore my chocolate craving. The more I attempted to ignore it by watching funny videos, the more I felt the urgent wanting of chocolate overwhelm my mind. I had to have it, right then and there. When I'm suddenly struck with one of those cravings, it's very difficult to convince me otherwise. I will travel to any location that appeals to my chocolate crazed mind during that time. In this case, it was Steven ter Horst Chocolatier on Rundle Street.
I'd never visited this little gem before but I had heard great things. So I put on my shoes and out I went on a quest, a chocolate inspired quest and no one was going to stop me. As soon as I entered the room I headed straight to the cabinet filled with dreamy, heaven-like gifts from god. Yes, there it was; staring at me in all its glory. The Chocolate Cloud was seducing me. I think the woman behind the counter was slightly amused by my willingness.
I sat patiently waiting for my Chocolate Cloud to arrive, and as I waited I imagined its pure goodness. Finally, I was face to face with my lover.
I took my first bite and I was not disappointed in the slightest. It was everything I imagined and more. It was truly love at first sight. The textures completed this piece of magic from the sticky chocolate outside to the soft and airy mousse inside with a centre of vanilla cream. I knew I made the right choice to temporarily cure my addiction. I would definitely recommend the Chocolate Cloud to any cake or chocolate enthusiast. Chocolate doesn't ask silly questions, chocolate understands.
