Here is an exciting opportunity for all lovers of nature, the environment, photography, technology and especially those of us who enjoy a jolly good tale of a person who has succeeded because he refused to give up on his dreams. Steve Parish, OAM, will be sharing the journey he has taken in his life behind the lens as he moved from mixing chemicals in a darkroom to using today's digital technology in all its forms.

An exhilarating tale of technological daring-do to be sure! Steve is set to impart his extensive knowledge at the Logan Hyperdome Library, 66 - 70 Mandew Street, Shailer Park on Saturday, 26 May, 2018 from 10.00am to 11.30am.

Entry to the talk is FREE but please register your interest.

First introduced to photography during a visit to Kangaroo Island as a 16-year-old, Steve maintained his interest even after joining the Royal Australian Navy. During this time, he joined the New South Wales Underwater Research Group. His interest and talents grew even further when transferred to Jervis Bay on the New South Wales central coast. Steve quickly became enchanted by the area's natural beauty, including the spectacular beauty he discovered under the surface of the surrounding coastal waters.

Over the last 50 years, Steve's work has been identified as extraordinary and is now included in over 2,500 published books. As a result of his contribution to natural history publishing, Steve was nationally recognised in 2008 when he was awarded the Order of Australia. Find out some more about Steve on his Facebook page.
