For the love of Latin dance
Stepping in Sequins is one of Brisbane's most exciting Latin dance schools!

Based in Coorparoo, Stepping in Sequins offers a variety of dance styles, including Salsa, Bachata, and Cha Cha Cha and can cater to all skill levels; from those who think they have two-left feet, right through to competition level dancers!

Regardless of what course you choose, you can be assured that the classes are easy to follow and held in a relaxed and social atmosphere. It's a great opportunity to meet friendly like-minded people and also have fun getting fit and learning Latin dancing.

Stepping in Sequins head instructor is Kelsy Luengen, a former Australian Salsa Champion. Kelsy has a fantastic team of experienced instructors who assist with classes and are on hand to offer tips and hints to take each student's dancing to the next level.

Kelsy says she loves teaching, "There's nothing better than sharing something you love with other people. I've always loved teaching, especially when it helps people find their passion for Salsa, Bachata or any Latin style."

One of the school's most popular courses is the 'Introduction to Latin Dancing' which teaches students the basic steps and moves of Salsa and Bachata. As the course progresses, students develop the skills and confidence to come out social dancing and dance the night away.

Another course highlight is 'Fundamentals of Ladies Styling', in which women of all ages get fit, learn to dance, and boost their confidence on the dance floor. Styling is simply a fancy word for learning how to make your dancing look more feminine by using your arms and hands in conjunction with your footwork. It's great for releasing that inner sassy lady, while having fun in a ladies-only environment.

Class sizes are kept small to allow Kelsy and her dedicated team to provide individual feedback to their students and instil proper technique and dance skills more effectively.

Nerushini, a student of Stepping in Sequins, couldn't recommend it more highly. "Kelsy is a brilliant instructor, with a professional manner yet always remains engaging and fun. I've done the fundamentals course twice and enjoyed it thoroughly. Looking forward to joining the choreography class soon!"

Stepping in Sequins also has several different teams performing and competing at festivals and competitions around Australia! Perhaps you can participate in an event this year!

New blocks of classes start every month at Stepping in Sequins. Head on over to their website or check out their Facebook page for their latest classes.
