Great coffee plus good company equals my happy place
Many an afternoon last year I would stop by this lovely coffee shop in Banyo with 3 other soccer mums to drink coffee, laugh and solve the issues of the world whilst waiting for our sons to finish up their football training.

That was last year.

5 or 6 star coffee

Last Saturday morning, my husband and I found our way back here again. This time for breakfast, while passing time before our number one son was to play football.

Air conditioned interior

Stellarossa is a chain of modern Australian espresso bars with venues in a number of locations in and around south east Queensland. This particular one at Banyo is bright airy and very friendly and has a relaxed atmosphere. They have both an indoor seating area, which is air conditioned, and some outdoor seating. We decided to sit indoors as the outdoor temperature was already creeping over 30 degrees.

After sitting and pondering over the menu for a good 5 minutes on what we wanted for breakfast, we ordered at the counter and then sat back and waited.

We didn't have to wait very long at all. Our coffee arrived hot and to our tastes quite quickly. Soon after our breakfast dishes arrived.
My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict with Bacon ($16.90) with a side of hash brown ($2). He was impressed with the generous serving size and even though it was tasty, he struggled to finish it.

I had decided on a vegetarian option of grilled field mushroom, haloumi, pesto, poached egg and toasted vienna ($15.90). Once again this was a very hearty size which would power me through the rest of the day.

Stellarossa at Banyo is open late on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and has a full menu which includes pasta and pizza. They also serve light meals through the day and have a large range of sweet options such as banana bread and muffins, which I can attest to being very yummy. Many a time last year it was coffee and something on the side with the other mums.

Many options to chose from

Stellarossa is located in the Banyo Retail Centre, not too far from the Australian Catholic University and the train station at Banyo.

Plenty of parking

Stellarossa coffee is a blend of the highest grade of Arabica beans from around the world and they pride themselves on sourcing sustainable coffee by directly dealing with the farmers. They advertise their 5 star or 6 star blends along with a number of others. If you like their coffee you can purchase a bag of coffee beans to take home with you. They also sell online as well.

Stellarossa is one place that I can say that I have, and will, come back to, if and when next I am in the neighbourhood.
