Family friendly walk to the beautiful Steavenson Falls
There are two walking options available to view the falls from the base platform.
The easiest and quickest option is to drive to the Car park located at the bottom of the falls.
There is a small car parking charge of $3 per car, $1per motorcycle, $7 per small bus (up to 29 seats) and $14 for a large bus. Please make sure you have some money on you as the fee needs to be paid in coins - there is no card facility on the ticket machine.
Easy gravel trail for the shorter walk to the bottom platform.
The track from the carpark is gravel, but fairly flat and therefore, quite a leisurely walk. The distance is approximately 700 metres from the beginning of the track to reaching the falls and should take about 15- 20 minutes.
View from the base platform at the beginning of the short trail.
The longer option which will appeal to those wanting a bit more of a trek is to leave from the Main Street of Marysville and follow the Tree Fern Gully Trail track to the base of Steavenson Falls.
This trail is a distance of 3.4 kilometres each way, so the time frame will depend on your level of fitness and walking level.
The beginning of this track is located just behind the Information Centre, so it is a great idea to call in and check for other great things to see and do in the area as well, such as visiting Bruno's Art and Sculpture Garden.
There is a picnic and barbeque area, fun flying fox by the water and of course playground at the Marysville Gallipoli Park, which is located the beginning of the Tree Fern Gully Trail. So perhaps pack a picnic lunch and make the most of what Marysville has on offer.
