As its name suggests, Steakland Kobekan is one of the various restaurants in Kobe where you can enjoy Kobe's regional speciality, Kobe Beef. The lunch specials from 11am to 2pm provide a good opportunity to enjoy Kobe beef at a lower price.
Prior to the steaks being cooked on the teppanyaki grill, slices of garlic were fried in melted butter to flavour the butter used to cook the steaks. The garlic slices were not just for flavouring the butter, they were also served alongside the steaks as a garnish.

We were delighted that the Kobe Beef lived up to their hype. The meat was tender and had a delectable char-grilled flavour. Complementing the steaks were bean sprouts cooked on the teppanyaki grill. The bean sprouts were cooked just right and still had a bit of bite to them. The lunch sets had steak accompanied by miso soup, pickles, rice, salad and your choice of tea, coffee or orange juice.

Having enjoyed the Kobe Beef in the Lunch Specials, we could not resist ordering a more premium quality piece of Kobe Beef to see if there is a significant difference. The experience was divine, with the beef easily melting away in our mouths. If we were to dine there again, we would opt for the premium quality beef lunch sets. Though the steaks were delicious enough on their own you can dip them in the dipping sauces provided for some extra flavour.

The décor of the restaurant gave it a formal feel though you can expect your clothes to gain a smoky smell because the seats are located around the teppanyaki grills. If you are looking for a good place to eat Kobe Beef consider giving Steakland Kobekan a try.
