The Stations of the Cross Art Exhibition, presented by Wesley Uniting Church, enters its seventh year this year. On display are specially commissioned works by fifteen of the State's creative and visual artists challenged to draw on their personal understanding of Easter.
Wesley Uniting Church is an elegant, old building anchored on the corner of Hay Street and William Street, right in the midst of an increasingly hectic, noisy and modern city. Like the eye of a cyclone, it seems a fitting venue to house art exploring life, death and the complexities of the human condition.
This year's exhibition features the artworks of Lyndall Adams, Tane Andrews, Elizabeth Bills, Jacobus Capone, Anna Dunnill, Stuart Elliott, Sarah Elson, Aasiya Hassim Evans, Donna Franklin, Pablo Hughes, Kate Koivisto Wheeler, Elizabeth Marruffo, Susan Starcken, Paul Uhlmann and Katie West.
The exhibition will be officially opened at 6pm on Friday, 18 March 2016 by Dr Stefano Carboni, Director of the At Gallery of western Australia. A bread and wine supper will be provided. To attend the official opening, RSVP by Friday, 14 March 2016 on 6103 4222 or email@example.com.
