Simply put, the Make a Wish Foundation works hard to grant the wishes of children who are suffering from a life threatening illness. Wishes aim to fulfil a dream or wish of a child, and can range from a day at the zoo meeting a child's favourite animal, playing football with a kids' favourite soccer team or even swimming with a dolphin. No matter what the wish entails, there is one constant; that these wishes bring sunshine to the day and the life of these children battling terrible illnesses, something that the child and their family and friends can remember forever. The Make a Wish Foundation, has now granted over 8000 wishes for children, and with more money raised, even more wishes and dreams can come true.
This event will raise money for this amazing charity, and you can get involved by simply buying a ticket and coming along for an amazing night of entertainment and fun. The event is based on the popular UK television show, Stars in their Eyes, whereby contestants (everyday people) have a talent for singing like a famous performer, and this is exactly what they get up on stage and do. For this event at the Mindarie Function Centre, guests will be treated to 6 different acts, who impersonate a famous singing sensation. After the different acts have finished, it will then be up to the audience to vote for a winner; so you'll get to experience life as a judge too.
