One of Sydney's biggest cultural events, Liverpool City Council's Starry Sari Night, will return to Liverpool CBD to give Sydneysiders everywhere an experience of South Asia in the South West.
From Friday 20 to Sunday 22 May 2022 from 5pm to 10pm, festival-goers will encounter something to see, taste and do along George Street, Liverpool, warmly known as 'Sari Street' in many cultural circles, owing to the street housing the largest collection of Sari fashion shops in the country.
First introduced by Mayor of Liverpool Ned Mannoun in 2013, Starry Sari Night provides a holistic experience of South Asian culture, seamlessly enmeshing both traditional and modern elements, through cuisine, fashion, dance, music, and art.

Market Bazaar with tantalising tastes to take home, luscious fabrics and wonderful wares from local businesses and stallholders specialising in South Asian products.Local Food Vendors offering a range of your South Asian street food favourites.Live Performances by international and domestic artists including hip hop artist and producer L-FRESH The Lion, contemporary R&B performer Lara D, Punjabi music producer and singer Pav Dharia, Punjabi Australian singer and dancer Parvyn, one of the youngest contestants ever on The Voice Janaki Easwar and progressive, contemporary South Asian Fusion Arts company - Bindi Bosses.Sari Runway Fashion Show showcasing the sari fashion shops on George Street (which has the highest concentration of Sari fashion shops in Australia).Workshops including a dance workshop by Bindi Bosses, henna workshops, arts and crafts and more for the whole family to enjoy.Archie Rose Distilling Co.
