One of the best 'things' to emerge from the COVID-19 happening is the need for socially-distanced entertainment. And, what better way to socially distance and be entertained all at the same time, than with the old-school type drive-ins, where guests remain in their cars to enjoy movies on the big screen.

This coming weekend Starry Nights Outdoor Movies have partnered with The Imperial Hotel in Eumundi and are bringing outdoor movie lovers the opportunity to relive the good ol' days with two drive-in movies at the beautiful Eumundi Showgrounds.

David Bowie plus Cult Classic Night - 'Labyrinth' (G) plus Bowie music videos**

The cult classic, Labyrinth starring the inimitable, the one and only, David Bowie, will be showcased on Friday night. In addition to David Bowie's magical puppet fantasy movie, Labyrinth, being screened, drive-in goers will be spoilt with screenings of some of Bowie's music videos, reminiscing days of old when this musical icon was the best of the best.

Make sure you bring your best Blue Steel to the screening of Zoolander , with everyone's favourite, 'really, really, ridiculously good-looking model', Derek Zoolander!

**Even though Queenslanders are doing so well with Covid, there are still restrictions in place to keep people safe:
**

Social distancing measures will be put into place to protect everyone attending and working at the Drive-in.

Car numbers will be limited, with vehicles spaced at least two metres apart to ensure appropriate physical distancing.

The movie sound is transmitted via FM to car radios.

Entry will be with a previously issued ticket – and will be contactless entry (no cash) – via a barcode scanner.

Please note no 'walk-ins' will be permitted.

Hand sanitiser stations will be available.

There will be no food for sale on site – but drive-in guests can pre-purchase from The Imperial Hotel on P: 5442 8811; Sala Thai on P: 5442-8806 or Il Mio Posto on P: 5442-7026 for pick up on your way to the drive-in.

There will be no rubbish bins on site – so please take home what you bring.

People should remain in their vehicles unless absolutely necessary. Bathrooms are on site – and will be monitored to ensure individual use and will be regularly clean and sanitised.

Social distancing should be observed at all times.

Bring your own car picnic or pre-order a yummy takeaway picnic and head to Eumundi Showgrounds for two fabulous nights of movies. According to the weather bureau, both nights are promising starry, starry nights!
