Great food with waterfront view and a place to relax
Holidays on or near the water is one of the most anticipated events for those of us that work in the city and look forward to a weekend getaway from the busyness of everyday like. Holidays are a time to put your feet up, relax and watch the world go by. Having visited Bateman's Bay recently, I stopped at the Starfish Deli cafe to have something to eat and to do just that, relax.

Being from Sydney, I quickly realised that the Starfish Deli is one of those places where you don't go for a quick bite but rather a place to catch up with friends and to take some time timeout. It is a place where you take the time to enjoy a delicious meal and to enjoy the wonderful scenery around the restaurant.

The deli is situated in the perfect location next to the main promenade with a perfect view overlooking the Clyde River. The deli serves a wide variety dishes, specialising in woodfire pizzas and fresh seafood.

Being a non seafood fan I opted for the Starfish Supremo woodfire pizza which I found to be delicious and kept me busy for a while trying to get through it all. The pizza was tasty, had a well cooked base and had all of the topping that I enjoy on a pizza.

While my partner decided on the grilled fish fillets and chips, with a side salad a dish that she explained that she was really happy with.

One thing to be aware of thought, if do decide to eat outside like we did, keep a close eye on your meals because the seagulls in the area have a keen eye on what good food is as well, they take every opportunity to eat your meal before you do.
