Caramel Frappuccino with Coffee Jelly @ Starbucks

As I've said in previous articles, I'm quite a fan of Starbucks Frappuccinos, but until yesterday, I hadn't tried them with the new coffee jelly that Starbucks have been advertising.

Yesterday I bought a venti (the largest size) caramel frappuccino with cream and the new coffee jelly. I didn't vouch for the extra shot of coffee, but as usual, it really hit the spot. Sure, some may not go for the cream, especially if you're watching your calorie intake, but even without the cream the caramel frappuccino is a great choice for those who like iced coffees.

The caramel frappuccino usually has a barely-there coffee taste but is cold, creamy and sweet. The caramel is delicious and yes, the added coffee jelly was also an appreciated addition. I wasn't sure I'd like the coffee jelly but it is soft and smooth enough to go right up the straw, and for this particular frappuccino, the jelly is what gave it the coffee taste. As usual for me, the venti size just didn't seem big enough and I certainly wanted more.

Starbucks offers many flavoured frappuccinos, and you can add extra coffee, java chips, chocolate powder, cream, caramel syrup, and of course, the new coffee jelly, if you want to further indulge. Starbucks also offers flavoured teas, green tea, iced beverages, coffee and espresso as well as savoury delights, bakery food, sandwiches, fruit salad and cakes. You can buy your goodies to take away or you can sit down on the comfy oversized armchairs and listen to soothing music whilst consuming the Starbucks goodness.

The caramel frappuccino with cream and coffee jelly cost me $7.60, the coffee jelly part just 70c. So head into your nearest Starbucks, grab your frapuccino of choice and add some coffee jelly. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
