Australian author, Bernadette Mercer, has started 2017 strongly with the publication of her first novel, Star of Aqualinia.

Her previous publications include a Self Help Health book, (How To Be Your Own Therapist), and a Travelogue cum Cookbook, (Lunch in Avignon), both of which reflect the author's long career as a registered nurse and avid traveller.



Star of Aqualinia reflects Bernadette's many years also as a Natural Therapist and Educator as it includes many references to the Essential Oils, Chakras, Auras, Crystals, Reiki and other complementary methods of Healing.

This book will be official& #322 ;y launched at The Mad Hatters Bookshop in Manly, on Saturday, 25th February, at 13:30pm. This local small business is renowned for supporting both local authors and illustrators, as well as fostering a love of books and reading in the young by way of regular fun literacy centred events.



Come and hear what motivated Bernadette to write her first book at 60 years of age, and how she manages to retain the dogged determination to branch out into new genres.
