A beautiful sophisticated venue for the over 25s has risen from the 1979 riot and years of disuse. The decor of the hotel has a Italian feel with a Peroni theming that epitomises style, comfort and good times. The dining/bar area is open plan with a mix of seating both inside and outside in the lane way. The hIstory of Star Hotel has not been dismissed, spend some time to read the captions on the photographs that are placed around the walls.



Star Hotel provides for all tastes in both food & drink. At lunch there is an express menu that caters to nearby office workers as well as $10 specials such as our delicious pumpkin & feta pizza. The emphasis is on grazing & share plates, but there are the usual suspects of steak & salmon for those who don't share well. The roasted beetroot, labna & walnut salad with chicken was a generous, tasty dish that was perfect for lunch.



The comprehensive bar menu has a large range of beers, wines, liqueurs, spirits, soft drinks and coffee. Cocktails feature prominently and the bar staff love experimenting with flavour combinations and playful names. Who could resist a Pasha Bulker, Merewether Swell or a Tequila Mockingbird. There is a daily special $10 cocktail and $10 pints,



You order and pay at the bar but the food is brought to the table by one of the friendly staff members. Star Hotel is a comfortable relaxed place for lunch that morphs into a sophisticated cocktail bar in the evenings.
