Who says you can only go out on weekends?
This iconic Star Hotel has recently changed hands and the new management team are making their mark. They have introduced a new menu and live music.
On Wednesday evenings, there is a wine & dine special where for $55 two people can have a bottle of wine, an entree and a main meal. The wines are an Australian sparkling, Chardonnay or a Shiraz - if you want to drink something else, you can pay the difference.
The pork belly was a generous serve and the pickled pear salad, kale and vanilla carrot purée were tasty alternatives to the usual apple sauce and roast vegetables. The other selections for mains were a crumbed chicken schnitzel and for vegetarians a pumpkin salad.
