Stand Up are thrilled to launch the beautiful book Standing Up: Jewish Australians Committed to a Better World , on Sunday 21 August 2016. Tickets are $10 per adult (18 plus) and $5 per child (6 plus). The launch will be accompanied by a photo portrait exhibition, , and both will be at the Jewish Museum of Australia , 26 Alma Road, St Kilda.

Museum and shop opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday 10am to 4pm, Friday 10am to 3pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm. The museum is closed on Mondays and Saturdays. For more enquiries, phone (03) 8534 3600.


Standing Up profiles the most inspiring Jewish Australian humanitarians, philanthropists and social justice activists of our time, and what it is that drives these outstanding people to do what they do. This is exposed through interviews and stunning photo portraits. Their personal stories will inspire you and leave you in admiration of their passion and dedication to create a better world.

The photographic exhibition came to fruition through the collaboration of the Jewish Museum of Australia and Stand Up. Thirteen large format portraits of key individuals from the Australian Jewish community who have played large roles in social justice, philanthropy and human rights will be on display. Woodrow Wilson the photographer has presented some visually captivating images and it includes interview extracts from the book.

The photographic exhibition will run through till Sunday 15 January 2017
