Feeding kids during the school holidays can be a bit of a chore. You don't really want to give them yet another sandwich. After all you have been making their lunches all term and you need a break as well.

On the other hand going out for lunch can get really expensive.

So here is a great solution. It's a pop-up shop just in time for the school holidays.

And if there is one thing that kids almost universally adore it's tortillas.

The tortillas are only $2.50 and what you and the kids put in them is up to you. There is a topping trail of all kinds of interesting bits and pieces.

Some of the ideas come from Celebrity Chef, Paul Wilson (culinary founder of the Newmarket Hotel and Acland St Cantina). who brings his inventiveness to this exercise.

Tortillas are also a great way to get kids to eat salads. See another suggestion here

This is a colourful place that should entice parents and children alike. You can also check out the Tortilla Ferris Wheel while you are there. It is also next to the new Emporium that lots of people will want to check out.

Afterwards hopefully the kids will have had a great day out and you can all go home and have a siesta.

Here is also a list worth knowing about of places where kids eat free . This should help out with a few more days of the holidays. Although these places are available all through the year.
