Ice-cream so good, itís sure to cause a Stampede
Picture this: I had just come home, on a wet and rainy afternoon, with a tub of salted caramel and roasted pecan gelato. I desperately tried to twist off the lid, almost dropping it in my eagerness and excitement. Upon finally prying the lid off, I plunged a spoon into the perfectly creamy gelato and put it into my mouth. What I experienced next was nothing short of magic; the gelato cast me under its spell, making me want to eat the entire tub in one go.

Stampede gelato is the brain child behind owner Adam Semple who, after living in Italy, decided to whip up his own gelato to match what he had tasted overseas. There's no doubt that Italy produces some of the best gelato in the world, but Semple's creation hits the nail on the head; it is so good, it practically took me back to the sunny streets of Florence.

What makes Stampede Gelato even more unique, however, is the bold and inspired flavours that Semple churns out each week. If you're a salted caramel aficionado like myself, you'll fall in love with the aforementioned flavour. It has the perfect amount of sweetness with a hint of salt, and a beautiful buttery aftertaste lingers on the palate. Other delectable sounding combinations have previously included Chocolate Block, White Chocolate Cinnamon and Tim Tam Caramel.

If you're more adventurous, you'll find yourself hanging out for Semple's weird and wonderful creations: previously, there have been flavours like Pepper Custard, Bacon Macadamia Toffee, Salted Fennel, Rosemary Olive Oil and so much more. Stampede excites and surprises the palate, so you're bound to never get bored of the vast range on offer.

A 500g pot of gelato comes at a hefty $17, but it's totally worth it, and this is coming from a student: I will happily fork out every now and again for such a high quality product which ethically sources its ingredients. Once you try Stampede Gelato, I can assure that you'll never want to resort to the run of the mill kind again.
