Stefanos Tsitsipas, has teamed up with
Stalactites Restaurant, launching his
Tsitsipas Souvlak. This fundraiser has 100% of sales going directly to
Beyond Blue. Beyond Blue's 24/7 Support Service supports people experiencing anxiety, depression, and those at an increased risk of suicide with counselling, information, advice and referrals. As there continues to be a greater demand than before the pandemic, the community's support has never been more important.
Tsitsipas will also match the amount made in sales of the special souvlaki to double the donation to
Beyond Blue.
The limited-edition
Tsitsipas Souvlak will be on sale from
Monday 17 January until the end of the Australian Open on 30 January 2022 exclusively from
Stalactites at 177/183 Lonsdale St, Melbourne and the
Stalactites Australian Open Pop-up from 10am daily until late, located at
Europa Lane within the Australian Open, Melbourne Park.
Run, don't walk to get your special
Tsitsipas Souvlak because it's going to taste even more delicious from the good you are contributing towards those in need. The
Tsitsipas Souvlak ($18) includes lamb gyros, tomato, tzatziki, fresh pomegranate (Tsitsipas' personalised special ingredient), onion, mint, crumbled feta and chips. Nicole Papasavas, Managing Director of Stalactites says "
Stalactites has a proud Greek heritage, and we encourage everyone to come down to try the souvlaki and support our community. The Tsitsipas Souvlak is truly delicious and with all sales going towards Beyond Blue, it'll taste even better".
For the first time, Stalactites will also be live at the Australian Open, serving their iconic Greek dishes to fans. The stall is popping up for the duration of the tournament and will be located at
Europa Lane, a part of Grand Slam Oval, which this year is inspired by the cultural melting pot of Melbourne's laneways. The Stalactites pop up will be serving their iconic
Chicken Giros souvlaki and chips, finished off with a lemon and oregano Greek seasoning.
