Nestled away in the busy hub of Temple Bar in Dublin Ireland is one fantastic little cafe that boasts one of the town's best breakfasts. You know you are starting off the morning right with a freshly brewed Irish Coffee (with a cheeky additional spot of whisky) and a full Irish breakfast with all the trimmings....namely black and white pudding.
The quaint establishment in Dublin's Cultural Quarter, is a real gem hidden in plain sight. This unassuming cafe boasts a fantastic interior, decorated mostly with outlandish props and interesting trinkets. Not only is the
Stage Door Cafe a great place to enjoy your black pudding and Irish Coffee, but also a place to eat in Dublin city centre. The friendly staff, jazz music and funky decor make this a not to be missed cafe.

A few friends and I stumbled upon the venue whilst exploring Temple Bar and decided to kick-start our day as locals with a serving of eggs, beans, black and white pudding, crunchy toast, sausages and onions. Of course this plate of hang-over goodness was washed down with a flavoursome Irish Coffee. For those of you who may not know what an Irish Coffee is, it is basically a cocktail consisting of hot coffee, Irish whiskey, and sugar which is then stirred, and topped with thick cream. The coffee is drunk through the cream and I can assure you, it is delicious!
Don't worry if you're in the mood for something a bit stronger, The
Stage Door Cafe also has a great selection of craft beers and a wine to ease you into the evenings festivities.
Breakfast came out in a jiffy, with a fantastic, eclectic vibe within the venue. Waiting for your meal will have you marveling at the kooky statues, paintings, feather boas (yes you heard correctly) and masks to name a few.
Both types of pudding, although I had nothing really to compare it to, were actually quite delicious and edible. I was told by my friend who had come to Dublin on many occasion that it was possibly one of the best black and white puddings she had encountered.
A 100% must on the list for Irish breakfast at its best, is definitely
Stage Door Cafe, the service is quick with a smile, and the best part is that it will set you back no more than 10 Euros, now that is a sweet deal.
