It's already mid-way through 2011, so you're not even thinking about Christmas yet, right? Well you should be. That is, if you want to book the best place for your work Christmas party.

Don't leave it until the last minute this year. The following article will give you a few tips and ideas on what is available around Perth.

1. Paintball:

Wouldn't it be nice to shoot a large ball of paint on that fellow employee that commented on how bad your tie is?

You can at your Paintball Christmas Party.

Big Game Paintball Adventures are happy to play host as you and your fellow employees battle it out. It's as simple as shooting a member of the opposing team using your paintball gun.

It's totally safe, and the paint is non-toxic so all you'll need to worry about are your tactics. Personally, mine is hiding, waiting, and shooting, otherwise known as 'camping'.

Booking is as easy as filling out the booking form on their website.

2. Karaoke:

If you've been thinking of a way to tell that guy in the office how you feel, why not sing him "You're the One That I Want" at your karaoke work Christmas party?

Karaoke is the best way to let loose, and break the ice in your workplace. Once everyone has had a go at embarrasing
themselves on the mic, suddenly you'll realise that your boss really is just a normal bloke too.

The good thing about Ferrara Karoke Bar is that you can book out the whole bar for your function. Not only that, they've got an extensive list of imported beers, top Australian wines, and exotic cocktails.

Ferrara Karaoke Bar is located at 67 Milligan Street in the City. Call 9481 1909 for bookings and enquiries.

3. Lawn Bowls:

Take that competitive spirit and put it in to a lawn bowls competition.

The good people at Mosman Park Bowling Club will allow you to deck the halls with your Christmas decorations and bring your own caterers in to serve you food at the event.

Bowls, food, and dancing sounds like a good night to me. Just don't try all 3 at once.

4. A Boat Ride:

If you're stuck in the office day in and day out, chances are you are itching to get outdoors. And you should. You might find that guy in accounting actually does talk, he just doesn't like offices so much.

Swan River Boat Charters offer affordable cruising packages and they can take care of the catering for you.

Otherwise, you might like to bring your own and make use of their BBQ facilities, or the staff are happy to cook it up for you.

How 'bout jumping aboard this idea for your staff Christmas party this year?

5. A themed party:

Rather than having to hunt down the perfect dress for this years Christmas party, wouldn't it be much more fun to hunt down the perfect superhero cape? Or the perfect mask for your masquerade ball?

A themed party can really be fun, and allow the staff to show their real creative flair in their chosen costume. All you'll need to do is organise a venue and catering.

If you're stuck on a theme, why not try a little Hollywood Glamour, or have a look at my 1990's themed birthday and apply it to your Christmas party. The ideas are endless, and so much fun.

Staff christmas parties are a good chance to unwind after a hard year in the office, and get to know the members of your second family. Make it interesting, make it fun, and get on to it now.
