Looking for a fitness challenge this winter? Melbourne Cricket Ground could have just the thing for you – the Stadium Stomp . The MCG is offering this epic stair climbing event where you can put your fitness to the test by climbing up to 7,600 steps as you race up and down the bays of the famous stadium. Some of the biggest stadiums in Australia will getting in on the action, with Stadium Stomps being held at the SCG, The Gabba, Adelaide Oval and even Eden Park in Auckland.

The MCG boasts an impressive seating capacity of 100, 024 seats. Lots of seats means lots of stairs and you can choose how many stairs you want to tackle as there are several different options available. For the Full Course you need to be over 12 years as you will be faced by 7,600 stairs. At the other end of the scale your nippers might want to try the Junior Stomp which has 1900 stairs and is aimed at 5 – 11 year olds. There are several other options in between and you can see the full breakdown here . To prove that you have run the gauntlet at one of the world's most famous sporting arenas you will finish up with a cool medal, a Powerade drink bottle and best of all, access to a free post climb massage (now you're talking!).

People are encouraged to raise money for their favourite charity through the Stadium Stomp challenge so not only will you be improving your fitness, but also doing your good deed for the month. You will need to prepare your body for this gruelling event and in order to do so, your ticket includes access to Tiffany Halls' (of The Biggest Loser fame) online program for one month. The TIFFXO program allows you to improve your fitness, strength and endurance through daily workouts (no gym equipment required) as well as providing nutritious meal plans so you can treat your body like the temple it is.

All this action will be taking place on Sunday June 30th. There are different start times depending on which wave you choose to enter. Be aware that early start times tend to fill up quickly – you can choose your start time when you register, which you can do by clicking on this link. FAQs can be found here and should fill in any blanks for you. Go get Stomping!
