Step on up, and up, and up
Are you ready to experience the ultimate stair climbing challenge? Sunday 18 June 2017 will see the Stadium Stomp MCG on again. A Stadium Stomp is one of the ultimate stair climbing challenges, held within very large sporting stadiums.

Challenge yourself or be part of a team

As one of the largest stadiums in the world, the magnificent MCG has a seating capacity of 100,024. That many seats can only mean one thing, and that's a lot of stairs.

Climb your way up, down and around the bays in this 7,300 stair climb. There will be plenty of rest stops (just pick a seat) and drink stations along the way, and professional DJs will be pumping out tunes to keep you motivated and moving.

There are two courses available making this event suitable for all fitness levels:

Full Course - The estimated number of steps for the full course is approximately 7,343 steps and will take anywhere from 45 minutes up to 2 hours to complete depending on your fitness level. This course is challenging. However, there is no time limit so you can take as long as you need.

Short Course/Junior Stomp - The estimated number of steps for the half course is approximately 1,890 steps and will take, on average, around 20 minutes to complete. This course utilises the longer, shallower stairs of the lower level and is considerably easier than the full course.

Gates at the MCG will open at 7am. Wave times begin from 8am and new waves will commence every 15 minutes thereafter until 1:15pm.

So if you're looking for something different for your next fitness challenge, look no further than Stadium Stomp MCG. Grab a friend or a group and make up your own challenge.
