Now I have to admit it, this wasn't the first time that I have frequented this establishment. In fact, I have been here on many an occasion.
The Stadium Bar and Grill, Caxton Street
This bar offers a relaxed dining experience with good, honest, down to earth 'pub grub'. The food is provided in generous portions and is well prepared. Prices are more than reasonable. The meal for two shown below is the seafood basket for two with a bottle of Rothbury Estate Sauvignon Blanc or Shiraz Cabernet and is reasonably priced at $63. Good alternatives to the wine are their range of beers; I particularly recommend the James Squire beer.
The Seafood Basket
Eat indoors or outside, both offer a relaxed atmosphere for dining. We decided to eat outside with it being a fine winter's afternoon. Indoors there was the sound of regulars playing music - a group booking. Their playing provided a rather fitting background that suited their own description of their establishment, namely; "A laidback sports bar with rustic decor".

Service at The Stadium Bar is helpful, cheerful and friendly.
Parking at The Barracks is free for two hours and this should be more than ample for lunch or dinner. Should you stay longer then the parking charges are not prohibitive. Caxton Street is well serviced by public transport.
I will definitely be returning to dine at The Stadium Bar and Grill in the near future.
