To celebrate History Month, St Theodore's Church invites you to their Open Day on Saturday, 27th May 2023 from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
Come and explore this magnificent building, an architectural treasure and its grounds at your own pace on a self-guided tour. The church, built in the Italian Romanesque style, was dedicated in 1914. A fire in 1960 caused the building to undergo extensive rebuilding work. Learn about the conservation work being undertaken to preserve this architectural gem for future generations.
Also, visit their very special Community Spiritual garden and Memorial garden. The Spiritual garden has a Mediterranean-style display and is a place of stillness, reflection, peacefulness and beauty. The Memorial garden is located at the back of the church and is also a lovely place for quiet reflection.
Entry is free and bookings are not required. St Theodore's Church is located at 46 Prescott Terrace, Toorak Gardens. For more information on the event, visit the History Festival
website.
