How many female coffee farmers do you think there are? Well, on Thursday 1st October, which is World Coffee Day, the St Remio Coffee is celebrating by launching World Coffee Day Initiative to Support Female Coffee Farmers.
To do this, St Remio is donating fifty cents from the sale of each box of its compatible capsules and one dollar from the sale of each bag of St Remio Coffee purchased in all Coles supermarkets across Australia and via the St Remio online store.
Each year
St Remio funds a project to support and empower coffee growing communities. This financial year, they are supporting the female farming co-operative of
Cocagi in
West Rwanda as well as purchasing an additional two hectares of land, 8,500 coffee plants, fertiliser and a mix of banana and sunflower plants that enables the co-operative to diversify their income.
The farming co-operative has been hit hard this year with changes in weather and the global pandemic. St Remio will be donating the complete amount of the monies raised to the co-operative. You too can help, by purchasing the famous brand of St Remio Coffee and make a positive impact on the lives of the growers.
St Remio range includes compatible capsules from
Nespresso® ,
