The world's most loved and most enchanting ballets ever
The world renown St Petersburg Ballet is performing two exquisite ballets in Perth in June; Swan Lake and Giselle.
Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake was first performed in St Petersburg in 1895 and is considered the world's most loved ballet. This immortal classic has enthralled audiences for generations with its deeply moving story, sublime music and its spectacular Ballroom scene. Producer Andrew Guild said, "If you only see one ballet in your life, let it be this", adding, "the St Petersburg Ballet is truly traditional Russian ballet at its very best."
The romantic ballet Giselle boasts the title of most enchanting ballet of all time. This quintessential ballet has technically superb choreography and the role of Giselle is one of the most sought-after in ballet. It requires outstanding technique and grace coupled with great drama skills.

The St Petersburg Ballet, with dancers trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St Petersburg, was founded in 1994, to bring classical Russian ballet to audiences worldwide. The company, which includes 55 members, has continually received rave reviews on six continents around the world
They regularly perform at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris but as part of an international tour, which includes performing in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Singapore and Melbourne, they are coming to Perth in June to perform both Swan Lake and Giselle.
