Go Green for St Patrick's Day
After much success with the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Family Fun Day in 2013, this year the organisers are planning another great event with a fantastic St. Patrick's Festival. This event will be held at the Medibank Stadium in Leederville, on Sunday 16th March, 2014, running from 10am till 5pm.
Proudly brought to you by the St. Patrick's Festival WA Committee, the City of Vincent and a host of supporters and sponsors, the festival will feature an assortment of entertainment and activities to suit the whole family.
This family-friendly event offers lots of fun for everyone and includes market style stalls, live music on stage, exhibitions, Gaelic games, displays, children's activities, games, delicious food, a licensed bar area and much, much more.
The many market style stalls at the festival feature the best of all things Irish, showcasing Irish and local produce, arts and crafts and gift ideas. A variety of businesses, organisations and community groups also hold stalls at the festival.
One of the highlights of the day's celebrations will be the popular St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade sets off at 10am from the Water Corporation Car Park, on Newcastle Street, then proceeds right onto Oxford Street and then turns right onto Vincent Street before stopping at the Medibank Stadium at approximately 11.30am.
So, come along to this years St. Patrick's Festival and Parade and enjoy a fun-filled day of free entertainment and activities.
The St. Patrick's Festival and Parade 2014 are both free community events and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
