St Patrick's Day is always a fun day, whether you are Irish, Catholic or not! Join in for a fantastic day's entertainment at the St. Patrick's Festival WA Parade & Family Fun Day. This will be held in Leederville and turn our popular Leederville streets green.
The event will be held on Saturday 16th March 2019, from 10.00 am. If you get there early, you can enjoy the pre-parade entertainment and get a good viewing spot for the actual parade.
The parade route is planned to start at the Water Corporation Car Park. It will then go down Newcastle Street, onto Oxford Street before turning right onto Vincent Street and finishing up at the Leederville Oval.
There will be a dedicated float "decant area" located in a section of the Oval to allow floats to deconstruct. Here is a map of the route to be taken.
After the parade has passed through, you can continue and go on to the Leederville Oval where there will be the St. Patrick's Festival Family Fun Day, which will feature entertainment for the whole family.
The children will be kept entertained with many children's activities including:
An animal farm
Bouncing castles
Face painters
Zorb ball
Magicians
Foam and bubbles machines

A chill-out area where children can go when and if, they get tired
There will be exhibitions of traditional Irish hurling and football to entertain you during the day. There will also be some fabulous stalls where you can browse and buy from local arts, crafts, bric-a-brac and homewares among other things.
For the children who are slightly older, there will be a good line up of entertainment on the Main Stage. This includes some of Perth's best and most popular musicians and best Irish dancers.
