is one of the most beautiful cathedrals in New South Wales. With Gothic Revival architecture and the greatest length of any church in Australia, it is a must visit regardless of your beliefs.

is dedicated to "Mary, Help of Christians", Patron of Australia. The Cathedral stands on the site of the first Catholic Chapel in Australia and became the focus of World Youth Day 2008 and was visited by Pope Benedict XVI.

The Gothic Revival sandstone of its architecture is reminiscent of the great medieval cathedrals of Europe and is a must see.

The cathedral is opened to the public for internal viewing and mass times can be found on the website. The cathedral shop holds an interesting range of Cathedral memorabilia, such as postcards, stationary, icons, medals and books.

Weddings and baptisms are conducted here; do check the website for information in relation to this.

Events are held from time to time such as The Way of the Cross, ANZAC Vigil Mass of Remembrance, Organ Recital, Marriages and many more. The Choir Services are spectacular and a must see, they are held daily- check times on the website.

The inside of the cathedral is amazing, with the spectacular architecture and furniture including the organ, magnificent stained glass windows, carved sandstone, towering columns and arches.
