The St Luke's Theatre Group's Year is about to begin. Bookmark, diarise, do what ever you need to remember. You do not want to miss this years programme.

Every year St Luke's put on 5 performances and I promise you they are always excellent. The plays chosen are always family friendly - suitable for the whole family. The prices are so reasonable that you can actually afford to take the whole family. Adults $15, Students $12, Children $5 and if you subscribe you'll pay even less.

The 2015 programme:
MARCH "Late Flowering"
An elegant spinster, runs a marriage bureau assisted by a hard working secretary who prefers an old fashioned filing systems. Constance insists on installing a computer. The bachelor sent to instruct them feeds his own details through the system and surprises ensue.
Performances: 8pm - 13, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21 March. 2pm - 14, 21.



APRILGreenroom Production "War Time Memories Revue"
A musical Revue featuring items reminiscent of the World War One era, to mark this year's Anniversary, commemorating the War Years; special entertainment, featuring dancers, comedy items, community Singalongs. A show for everyone.

Performances: 8pm - 17, 18. 2pm - 18 (Bookings Not Required.)



JUNE"Murder On The Nile" by Agatha Christie

Simon Mostyn has recently married wealthy Kay Ridgeway. While on their honeymoon on the Nile, Simons' former lover Jacqueline, shoots at Simon, wounding him in the knee. A few moments later Kay is found shot in her bunk. By the time the boat reaches its destination an audacious plot has been laid bare.

Performances: 8pm - 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20.
2pm - 13, 20. (Bookings accepted from May 1.)



AUGUST"The Murder Room"
Two days after their wedding Mavis is not only being unfaithful to Edgar but is attempting to kill him. Chaos and complications reign when it transpires that the shots fired were blanks and that Edgar's body has vanished. A spoof of all crime thrillers, it is good clean mirth all the way.

Performances: 8pm - 21, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29.
2pm - 22, 29. (Bookings accepted from July 10.)



NOVEMBER"Cat's Cradle"

Cat's Cradle is an psychological mystery tempered with the sardonic humour of a disillusioned police inspector. On the eve of his retirement, Scotland Yard Inspector Jack Frost returns to the scene of a kidnapping, where he is met with barely veiled hostility. Frost persists and finally unravels the shocking and totally unexpected truth.

Performances: 8pm - 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28.
2pm - 21, 28. (Bookings accepted from October 9.)



Supper is similarly bargain priced. Tiny chocolates for 50c, poppers, tea or coffee and a biscuit for $2.

Each performance supports a charity with a raffle and a stall. The goods sold vary from books to hand crafts. Prices are low and quality is high. Doctors Without Borders; Miriam Raju Foundation; Operation Smile; Motor Neurone; Awaken Mozambique and Red Kite are some of the beneficiaries.



Costumes and sets are always carefully crafted and have indeed won awards.




If you want to eat before the show, there is a fish and chip shop and Thai restaurant across the road and lots of other option five minutes away on Ipswich Road.
