St Luke's Flower & Music Festival brings stunning floral displays together with an environmental message. Inside the historic basalt church, the Carnival of Flowers 2020 floral display takes the visitor through a series of meditations. Presented by the Toowoomba Floral Art Group, the theme this year is 'explore your environment'. The concept is that the visitor finds their own meaning in each arrangement.

The interactive prayer candle display is a peaceful note.

You will find things like poetry, bark art, Aussie native plants and history. The baptismal font plays host to floral sea creatures. An interactive prayer candle is a peaceful note. Outdoors, music was swing. Inside the church, some ambient live piano.

Explore the environment of, what looks to me, like stalagmites.

Plant and market stalls entice shoppers, especially the gardeners and readers. Books all $1. Cacti and other shrubs at low prices. Coffee and refreshments are takeaway only.

St Lukes markets Carnival of Flowers Music Festival
You won't find many lower prices than at these markets.

Around the high altar rest stunning floral arrangements including red rosebuds and Australian natives. The text describes the meanings in the high altar reredos (carvings). You may even find that some volunteers in the church take a compassionate interest in you personally.

Entry to the church floral display is by gold coin donation and you will be asked to sanitise your hands, fill out your contact details and follow the 'stay safe' procedures we are now familiar with. Much time and effort has gone into creating St Luke's Flower & Music Festival. Volunteers at the exhibit and markets are very friendly and helpful and you will receive a warm welcome.
