Located near St Kilda Adventure Playground, St Kilda Beach Hotel is a good place to enjoy a good range of pub food. For those that like a bit of variety, the hotel offers various specials alongside its regular offerings.
St Kilda Catch is a good way to sample a delectable range of seafood consisting of a fish fillet, Salt and Pepper Squid, Spencer Gulf Prawns, scallops and oysters. Much of the seafood is sourced fresh. The fish fillet that we opted to have crumbed was cooked just right and their Salt and Pepper Squid was tender without being too salty. While you have to peel the prawns yourself, they did have a delightful fresh taste, an indication of their freshness.
Both the oysters and scallops were cooked to perfection. The Kirkpatrick sauce that we chose for the oysters gave them a tangy taste with a hint of smokiness from the bacon. The scallops were flavoured more subtly with garlic butter. Accompanying the seafood were a salad, chips and tartare sauce.

While their Rump Steak can be a bit tough in some parts, it was a generous portion and still had the degree of charred flavour that we liked. To accompany the steak, we chose roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The roasted potatoes were subtly flavoured with some butter. We chose to add pepper sauce, which had a nice degree of peppery flavour.
