Opened in 1982, St Kilda Adventure Playground has been a popular destination for parents with kids visiting St Kilda. It underwent an upgrade in 2016, which added new attractions alongside the existing ones.
The main focal point of the playground are the two giant slide sets. One of them is built so the exterior resembles a castle. There are also smaller playground set ups for those with kids who are not yet old enough to play on the larger pieces of equipment.

Among the newer installations are a swing set specifically designed for those in a wheelchair, and outdoor versions of equipment that one would expect to see at a gym. Some of the other attractions at the playground include a flying fox, a maze, sand pits featuring play equipment resembling an excavator and a structure built like a beached shipwreck for visitors to explore. One of the buildings in the playground feature a mural that acts like a map to help you find your way around the playground.

Also present at the playground are settings for picnics and barbeques. Entry into the playground is free so feel free to drop by anytime if you are looking for somewhere fun to take the kids.
