The annual St. Jerome's Laneway Festival will be held on Saturday February 4, 2012. It will take place at the Footscray Community Arts Centre and will be held from 11:30am until 10pm. Throughout the day, you will have the chance to view a wide range of acclaimed Australian and International artists performing. Some of the acts scheduled to perform at the 2012 Melbourne event include English folk musician Laura Marling, American electronic pop act Chairlift, English garage rock band The Horrors, Australian indie rock band The Panics and many, many more.
The St Jerome's Laneway Festival actually began in Melbourne, back in 2004. It was initially a small independent music festival held in Caledonian Lane. The event has since grown from strength to strength and is now a touring festival. It is held in all Australian capital cities and in recent years has expanded to New Zealand and Singapore.
Highlights of the 2012 St Jerome's Laneway Festival include popular Canadian singer-songwriter Feist, American indie pop band The Drums, English musician Anna Calvi, American musician Twin Shadow and local Melbourne band Husky.
