That time of the year has rolled around again, when thousands of people flock towards Drysdale in anticipation of the
St James' Church Huge Secondhand Book Sale. An annual pilgrimage for some, the sale provides the perfect opportunity to purchase from a vast range of preloved books, magazines, comics and other reading material. With every item categorised and individually priced, there will be no confusion as to what you are buying, which will make the whole browsing experience even more satisfying.
Held in the Drysdale Community Activity Centre, which is located next to the church, the Sale will be held over the first weekend of the New Year (Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 January) and all funds raised from the donated books will go towards the maintenance of the church hall. There will be refreshments available for purchase from the lovely volunteers, and there's free entry, so you can browse to your heart's content (all day long if you wish).

St James Church, Drysdale. The Sale will be held in the Activity Centre next door.
This year, there will also be a special children's section with lower seating, so that the kids can comfortably view the books available and decide which ones they want to spend their Christmas money on.
