St Ives Shopping Village has put together two weeks of fun activities for your kids these school holidays. There are crafts to have fun with, performances to enjoy, animals to marvel at and more. The shopping centre can be found on Mona Vale Road and is located right next to St Ives Village Green .

During the first week of the school holidays, the BE Creative and Play workshop is one fun activity on offer. Here your children will be able to create pieces of 2D and 3D art using a variety of unusual materials, including recycled treasures. The workshop will be held from 11am to 2pm on Tuesday September 25 and Wednesday September 26. It costs a gold coin donation to BE Centre . Bookings are not required but there are limited spaces available.

From 11am to 2pm on Wednesday September 26 and Thursday September 27, there will also be a YMCA St Ives Fitness and Fun event, when the team from St Ives YMCA will teach children aged 3 to 12 gymnastic floor skills such as tumbling, balancing and agility. This event also costs a gold coin donation, with money gong to the YMCA . Bookings are not required but once again spaces are limited.

In the second week of the holidays, you may want to bring your children down to see Aladdin's Tales, which is a free, 30 minute performance by The Marian Street Theatre for Young People . Shows will be held on Thursday October 4 and Friday October 5 at 10:45am, and then again at 12:15pm. The performances are suitable for children aged three to 10, who will also have a chance to meet the performers after the show.

Drama and Dress Ups Workshops will be held in this week too, on Thursday October 4 and Friday October 5 at 10am and 11:30am. These 30 minute workshops will incorporate drama and fun with characters, costumes and props. Hosted by Marian Street Theatre tutors, your kids will be able to learn some drama skills and create fun characters. The earlier workshop is for 5–7 year olds and the later workshop is for 8–10 year olds. Both cost $6 per child and bookings are essential because sessions are limited to 16 children.

On the final weekend of the school holidays (Saturday October 6 and Sunday October 7) the Annual Purrfect Pet Expo will be held at St Ives Shopping Village. It will be a day full of animal fun including reptile shows, dog agility performances, dog obedience demonstrations, baby animal farm, face painting and much more.

This expo will feature Face Painting By Go Seek! , available from 10am to 2pm on both days. Children can become their favourite animal or choose from the many ideas the Go Seek team offer. Face painting costs a gold coin donation per motif with proceeds going to local animal welfare charity.
