It was a haven of peace inside the church where a floral display tastefully decorated the altar area, above which was a slide show of a man's testimony. A large open Bible was in the centre, which added meaning to the artistic exhibit, which included Australian native flowers such as Kangaroo Paw. A humble exhibit, but a pleasant diversion.
Floral display around the altar of professional quality.
Refreshments were on the back deck in the breeze overlooking a splendid view. Market stalls attracted plenty of interest and offered shrubbery, books, brick-a-brack, handmade knitwear and sewn homewares, homemade sweets and handbags.
St David's Presbyterian was founded at 46 Mary St, Toowoomba, in 1949. The friendly parishioners are proud of their church and many were attending to stall sales. The church's activities include extensive overseas missionary work. If you're interested in attending a service at this charming church, it's a Sunday at 9:30am.
