The St Cecilia's School Fair on Saturday 28 October 2018 from 11am to pm at 4 Van Ness Ave, Glen Iris, will open its gates to thousands of visitors when it holds its much loved annual fair. Entry is free. This being its 71st year, it's the highlight of the school calendar. Surviving for 71 years is a good measure of how well it is supported, and how great a fair it is.
There'll be live entertainment, gourmet food stalls, and favourite perennial stalls including the mystery bottles, face painting, Miss Mustey's famous fairy floss, pirate dig and show bags. There'll also be great prizes to be won on the day with the silent and live auctions and the Fair Raffle. From preloved children's toys, plants, books, home made cakes, crafts, cookie jars and preserves, you'll have a good variety of goodies to purchase.
For those seeking more thrills, there's a great lineup of rides and activities, including giant inflatables, chair-o-plane, Carousel Merry Go Round, Dodgem Cars, Coconut Climbing Wall, Fun Factory and Specky Events – St Cecilia's Inflatable AFL Playground and much more. There's no doubt the kids will be lining up to get back at their teachers by dunking them in the Dunking Machine Tank; all in the name of fun of course.
A highlight of the day for wine lovers will be a visit to 'Bar Aperitivo' to meet winemaker Franco D'Anna from Hoddles Creek Estate and sample some of his award-winning wines.
