Unearth Some Extra Special Treasures At This Classic Fete
Springtime in Perth is synonymous with fairs, fetes and festivals, and every year hundreds of these events are held throughout the city, providing fun, festivity and great shopping opportunities – with the proceeds all going to great local causes. However, with summer just around the corner, this year's season is just about over, so if you've been wanting to visit one but haven't got around to it yet, you'd better be quick. If, like me, you've got a soft spot for these grassroots community events, one that you might like to mark onto your social calendar is the St Augustine's Garden Fair, which will be taking place on Saturday November 26th.
For those who love quirky retro wares, or lovely handmade goodies, St Augustine's Garden Fair is a great spot to pop into, and trawl through the treasures. A classic church fete, it's a vintage-lovers paradise with bric-a-brac, arts, crafts, home-baked cakes, jams, jewellery, books, gifts, plants and plenty of other surprises. There are even morning teas and other refreshments if you'd like to refuel while you do your shopping.
St Augustine's Garden Fair will be taking place Saturday November 26th from 8am until 12 noon at St Augustine's Anglican Church – located at the corner of Murray Street and Roberts Road in Bayswater. For more information, email bayswateranglican@outlook,com or call 08 9370 2011.
