Sun 31 May 2015

Come and celebrate the 30th Anniversary of being held on the school grounds and adjoining oval at 89 Hogarth Rd, Ferny Grove on Sunday, 31 May, 2015. The fun starts at 9.30am and continues until 3.00pm.

Entry to the Fair is FREE.

The School Fair is proudly presented by the St Andrew's Primary School Community Association and all profits go back to the school for improving educational resources and facilities for the children.

This year the Fair's theme is 'Making your Footprint Count'. To this end, the school's community wants to welcome as many people as possible and bring every member of our community together in the spirit of celebration. Everybody is welcome to join in the fun as well as participate in making the day a wonderful experience for the whole community. The organising committee would like to invite the wider community, including residents, businesses and not-for-profit service providers to get involved.

The Fair is cram-packed, full of fun activities for kids of all ages with lots of games and rides, farm animals, great food, art and craft, auctions, including the fantastic silent auction and plus much, much more.

Here is just a small sample of what you can expect to enjoy:

Stalls
Here's a chance to pick up a real bargain for yourself. The array of merchandise is unbelievable. Come and browse through stalls that include:
  • Art Gallery,
  • Books,
  • Crafts,
  • Hampers,
  • Plants and Fresh Produce,
  • Toys,
  • Cakes and Bake Shop,
  • Lollies, and
  • Show Bags.

  • You'd be pretty hard to please if you can't find something in all of those you didn't like.

    Activities
Kids and grown-ups will find plenty to do on the day. Some of the best action will surround the:
  • Auctions,
  • The very popular Silent Auction,
  • Lucky Dips,
  • Teacher Dunking (here's a chance for some sweet revenge!),
  • Sideshow Games,
  • Pony Rides, and
  • Petting Zoo.

  • There's even more but they won't all fit on this page. You'll just have to come along and get going; after all there's only five and a half hours to get through the lot!

    Food Stalls
With all the fun and shopping there is always a need for great Fair food. At St Andrew's School Fair you'll be able to enjoy fresh, international and Australian cuisine that includes:
  • German Sausages,
  • Kebabs,
  • Hamburgers,
  • Hot Dogs,
  • Hot Chips,
  • Churros, and
  • Sushi.

  • If none of those tempt you, be advised, the list is too long for here and there will be other tasty morsels available on the day.

    Sweets and Treats
Tempt your tastebuds with a huge selection of delightful, home-made:
  • Cakes,
  • Lollies and
  • Sweets.

  • Because of my diet I can only get myself some coconut ice, caramel fudge and mini-cupcakes. Eats like these don't affect a diet because you only eat small pieces at any one time – that's my reasoning anyway!

    Drinks
To wash away the small pieces of lollies and cake you'll be able to get yourself a refreshing milkshake, soft drink or for those who left school a while ago, you can even relax and unwind at the bar with a nice cold Cider, Beer, Wine or Cocktail.

    Entertainment
This is the part of the day I always enjoy the most. The kids have worked on and practiced to provide a full program of performances for your entertainment pleasure. Joining in with the St Andrew's students are the Mt Maria College students who will be performing Music on the Green. So come and be amazed at the talent and skills of these young kids as they entertain you.

    Amusement Rides
Rides! Rides! Rides! This year there are some really awesome rides. These will include:
  • The Thrilling Miami Trip,
  • Storm,
  • Super Slide,
  • Rock Climbing Wall,
  • Tea Cups,
  • Bumper Balls,
  • Laser Skirmish, and
  • Mini Hot Rods.

  • What a breath-taking, tummy gurgling set of fun rides.

The Committee gratefully appreciates the support of the community and look forward to welcoming you to this spectacular day where you can 'Make your Footprint Count' and help support St Andrew's Primary School get even better while it help builds community spirit.
