Every Saturday visitors and locals descent on a small town in the foothills of the Yarra Ranges. The draw is St Andrew's weekly community market , a family orientated event with an alternative vibe.



As you browse the stalls, you will find a wide arrange of items; clothing, jewellery, books, fruit and veg, skincare, toys, hardware and more. There are new and second hand goods on sale.



There are musicians, tarot readers, hair braiders, masseurs and pony rides for kids so give yourself plenty of time to take full advantage of all that is on offer.





I'd suggest going on an empty stomach as there is plenty of food and coffee stands with vegetarians and vegans well catered for (look out for the vegan cake stall). Relax on a cushion in the chai tent or sit on the veranda in the sun overlooking beautiful bush land. All that eating gets tiring!

Saturday 21st is Spring Equinox and there will be special celebrations at the market to partake in so it's a great time to give the market a try.

There is car parking or alternatively take the train to Hurstbridge and the community bus to and from the market.
