At the end of episode 3, a vote was held for the players to decide whether to leave the game or continue. The 'continue' group won by a single vote. To 456's dismay, several players voted to stay because he had revealed that he had played the game before, which they believed would give them an advantage because they would know what was going to happen next. In episode 4 those hopes were rapidly dashed, because instead of the expected game of dalgona (the game with the the honeycomb candy from season 1) they are told they are to play a different game.

Episode 4 is called 'Six Legs', referring to the 6-legged race teams of players must compete in to pass this round. Along the course of the race each team must also successfully beat 5 mini games: ddakji (the paper envelope game used by the recruiter at the beginning), biseokchigi (throwing rocks), gong-gi (Korean Jacks), jegichagi (sort of like hacky sack), and spinning top. What makes it really challenging is that all of this must be completed in under five minutes.
As with the first season, I kept thinking that these games looked like they'd be really fun if nobody was trying to kill you. I know there was a bit of a trend for making dalgona after the first season aired, so it will be interesting to see if there is a fad for any of the games this time around. Personally I'd like to have a go at gong-gi.
I was surprised by this episode, because the challenge seems ridiculously difficult, if not impossible, to complete within the time limit, so the players will be thinned out very quickly. Episode 4 ends after only two teams have competed, so it remains to be seen what happens to the major characters as they step up for their turn.
The Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun) has infiltrated the game as player 001, and wormed his way into 456's good graces with a sob story. It's a little disappointing that 456 has so far fallen for the same trick again, but I suppose he has a lot on his mind. Speaking of deception, I keep expecting Sea Captain Park (Oh Dal-su from
Oldboy), the old captain who helps Hwang Jun-ho search for the island where the game is held, to be somehow involved with the bad guys. I suppose we'll see.
Thanos is still with us so far, as are the mother and son, as well as Kim Jun-hee (singer Jo Yu-ri), the pregnant ex-girlfriend of player 333. Guard 011, the ex-soldier looking for her daughter, is also still around, although she is in trouble for interfering with the guards' underground business selling the organs of players who have been shot.
Episode 4 ended on quite a cliffhanger, so on to episode 5!
