Brave the cold and head to Top Ryde Shopping Centre for this new winter festival at the Piazza that's full of entertainment for young and old. A spectacle of lights is taking over this recently updated area with larger-than-life inflatable mushrooms sprouting up over 14 dazzling days and nights.

The 'shrooms are the creation of Amigo & Amigo, who are well known for their works in Sydney's Vivid festival. This immersive artwork in the Piazza encourages our social nature whilst contrasting with the urban environment. With bold colours and the art of light, this installation is a colourful display by day and a glowing beauty by night.



During the day, young visitors will be enthralled with the Enchanted Playground, complete with a toadstool cubby house, garden games daily and family seating. Free face painting and craft workshops can also be enjoyed at various times .

Live music is a feature at this fiesta too and a new stage will be unveiled to share with some of Sydney's finest musicians, including Uncle Jed, former winners of Australia's Got Talent who will be performing the soundtrack to Sprouted. Select dates and times can be found here .



Apart from the glowing 'shrooms, roving LED performers are putting on a show as they light up the Piazza and dance their way around the restaurants. They include Robot Dancers and Hula Hoopist. Showtimes are listed here .

A pop-up bar further adds to the illuminations with glowing drinks and should you prefer to watch all the action unfold as you dine and drink, then reserve a table at one of the surrounding restaurants in order to get the best seats in the house. Many of them take the Dine NSW vouchers which expire at the end of June, so this is the perfect time to make use of them.
