Peonies, or peony roses as they are sometimes called, have a very short season. In Australia, this season lasts from October to the middle of November. Peonies grow in Asia and Europe and increasingly, peony farms have also become popular in parts of Australia. Peonies need cool climate and frost to grow to their full beauty. If the climate is too warm, they will not open their tightly formed buds and reveal their fully-fledged beautiful petals.

These beautiful flowers are about to come into bloom and show off their true beauty. The temporary nature of the peony only accentuates its blooming beauty and there is nothing quite like watching its rather insignificant-looking bud open up into a glorious myriad of colours. If you want to see the peonies in bloom and perhaps take some home, then Springhill Peony Farm is the place to go.

The farm will have its open days on these days but check the website as dates can change. Keep checking for daily information or stay connected on social media .
