Purchase cruelty-free wares, snack on vegan foods, and get acquainted with animal rights at the first ever .

Ironically taking place at the Meat Market in North Melbourne (who says vegans don't have a sense of humour?), the will be an all-day event taking place on Saturday the 28th of October. You don't have to be a vegan to attend- curious carnivores may find the to be an educational experience

Everything about the festival will be vegan, catering to those who choose not to use animal products. Quirky attractions include a vegan high tea and an art zone. For a more serious take on all things vegan, there will be an animal rights cinema. Entry costs a mere $2 per person.

The event is hosted by Animal Liberation Victoria , a radical grass-roots organisation which fights to end human exploitation of animals. One pillar of the organisation is the promotion of a vegan diet.
