See the best cut roses in SA all on display at this show
The Rose Society of SA holds a couple of rose shows every year. Spring is the most sensational with all the new season's rose blooms on fine display.
You are sure to see some old favourites and also fairly new to the market roses here. What will also be here is roses that do well in the Adelaide and districts climate. Members have been busy tending to their plants all year to grow their best blooms for the show. Roses are picked very early on Friday morning and all day the event is staged ready for judging. On Saturday morning, only the judges are allowed inside to do decide on this year's best.

The weekend event then opens to the public at opens on Saturday at 12 noon until 5pm. An official opening will be at 3pm This time is very crowded and you can hardly move as members huddle about and see who has won the competition awards. I tend to go after this or on the Sunday to avoid the crowd. There are also special talks in the supper room. These can be on topics from rose experts and on floral arranging. It would be of benefit if the Rose Society puts the programme on their Facebook page or website.
There are some stalls and plants for sale at the event.
