A weekend of great wine, great food and live music
On the weekend of the 14th and 15th of October 2017, the fabulous FREE Open Cellars of the Artisan Hills returns with 17 award-winning and family-owned boutique wineries to explore.

Entry is FREE and all wine-tasting is FREE - so grab the kids, head out to the beautiful Artisan Hills region (just north of Melbourne's CBD) and enjoy a fun spring weekend, sampling fine wines and delicious food and relaxing to lovely live music!

Start planning the ultimate wine trail today! The wineries are nestled among the green rolling Artisan Hills. In this pretty part of the world, among country Australian hamlets with typical Aussie names like Kangaroo Ground, Smiths Gully, Arthurs Creek, Yarrambat and Watsons Creek, the place oozes with history and charm. To get to the Artisan Hills region (only 45 minutes from the CBD or Melbourne Airport) head north of Melbourne, heading to Eltham or Greensborough from there just follow the map.

Participating wineries include Buttermans Track Wines, Hildebrand Ridge Organic Vineyard, Kings of Kangaroo Ground, Massaros, Nillumbik Estate, Panton Hill Vineyard & Winery, Philip Lobley Wines, Shaws Road Winery, Wedgetail Estate and Yarrambat Estate Vineyard. Click here to view the complete list.

Most wineries will be open from 11am to 5pm over the weekend (trading times vary between wineries, click here for more details), so there will be plenty of time to leisurely meander through the magnificent countryside and enjoy the delicious array of food and wine and great entertainment on offer.

Each winery will be presenting their own unique program of events and activities; from live music with local musicians to special family-friendly menus, there's sure to be something for everyone! Best of all - there's no need to book, just turn up and join in the fun!

In addition to discovering what goes on behind the scenes at each winery and sampling quality Yarra Valley wines, you can also stay at a cosy BnB in the Artisan Hills. Why not begin your adventure on Saturday morning with a visit to the famous St Andrews Country Market, then follow your own wine trail, stopping for tasty country fare at lunchtime.
